Why should someone keep on living if they dont seem to have a reason to?

Because it would hurt the people around you more than you know. Please go talk to someone about your thoughts.

We lost our Niece she took her life and all of us she left behind our lives are changed forever.

There is a reason for everyone to live. It may not be evident now but there is. I might ask why are you being selfish and thinking of yourself and not thinking of what the people around you feel. I bet you could find a lot of reason to stay here on earth. Suicidal means going to HELL, and your hell is your worst that YOU can think of.

There is always a reason to live. I know that times can be really bad at times but there is no reason to take your life. If I can recommend you to read a book or see a video it would be to check out "The Secret"

Maybe some times we have to go on living for another person-- mum,dad, family--friend-- we can not always see the purpose in our lives--but it becomes clear at some point, l myself tried a way out, l damaged my health badly,l now suffer with that--- but since then-- l honestly have saved my husbands life twice-- once with his heart- and another when he had a bad virus- was unconscious- and l found him--- so you see-there was a reason for me to go on--- but only God knew it at the time.Your "Reason2 will come along too- please talk to your family,friends ,church--anyone who can help you through-- l promise you that things will only get better- ---l love my life today. There is always a reason to live, always. You just haven't understood your purpose yet, there are many ways to find out what that is. Talk to people, talk to counselors, clergy, school teachers, etc. Look deep inside you and ask what it is that you feel passionate about and look for activities or jobs that suit this need. You have needs, just look inside you.
Please talk to others, please know you are important and there is a reason you are here.

Just because you think you don't have a reason doesn't mean there isn't one. You just don't know what it is yet. Be tough, hang on, and you will see. But sometimes you have to help with it. You cant sit inside the house and say that you have no reason to live. No one comes to the door to create reasons for each of us to live. You have to do that yourself.

I use to ask myself that same question. The basic answer to your question is simply to stay alive so that you can see what happens next.

suicide is selfish, you dont hurt yourself as much as you hurt those you leave behind. and besides, how are you going to get revenge on the people who made you depressed if youre dead
